Costa Rica Bachelor Party Faq
Bachelor Party Faq with Rich Coast VIP
At Rich Coast VIP, we want to create the Ultimate Bachelor Party experience for you and your friends. Whether you have a large group or you’re just looking for a boy’s weekend away, we can help you do it. Here are a few frequently asked questions for anyone planning a Costa Rica bachelor party:
Q: What is the best city in Costa Rica to have a bachelor party?
Jaco Beach is definitely the party town of Costa Rica. In Jaco you will find beautiful women, amazing beaches, exciting tours, fishing charters, great restaurants, and fun places to party.
Q: Do I need a passport?
Yes. Citizens of the United States, Canada, Britain and Europe are required to have a passport to enter Costa Rica. Visas are not required, however.
Q: What should I pack?
Jaco is a laid back beach town and it is not uncommon for vacationers to be in shorts, tank tops and flip flops for the entire trip. However, if you plan a night or two of partying in San Jose, we do recommend you dress up a bit.
Q: Should I exchange cash at the airport?
You can, but it's not recommended. US dollars are accepted just about everywhere in Costa Rica. You can get a better exchange rate at a local bank with passport.
Q: Should we tip?
Yes. Most guides, and VIP hosts depend on tips and will go the extra mile for you if they know they are being taken care of. However, keep in mind bars and restaurants add a 10% automatic gratuity to your bill. It is totally up to you whether or not you would like to throw in something extra.
Q: How far is Jaco from the airport, and how do we get there?
A: Jaco is about one hour drive from the airport in San Jose. We offer transportation services to Jaco and back (or anywhere else in Costa Rica).
Q: I don’t speak any Spanish. Is that a problem?
No, although speaking some Spanish can be a benefit. Otherwise, it is not necessary. Many locals and almost all who work in the service industry are bilingual and speak English. We will only book activities for your group with companies we know have an English speaking staff.
Q: Will my cell phone work in Costa Rica?
No, your cell phone will not work, but you can find Wi-Fi access just about everywhere you go in Costa Rica. If you have an unlocked phone you can purchase a local sim card for Pay-as-you go. We recommend going with Kolbi or Movistar. There are also several apps (Whatsapp, Viber, Skype, Google Voice) you can download to make free calls and texts to the United States or local Costa Rican phone numbers. If you have a smart phone, you will have no problem getting online, checking emails, or making calls and texts.
If you have any further questions, you can call us or contact us. We’ll be happy to answer all of your questions to make sure you have the best Costa Rica bachelor vacation possible with us!
